Elijah's 6th birthday! LOVE That kid!!

Elijah wanted to have a party with his friends and all go see Star Wars Episode 1 in 3D. They had a blast!
Notice the age range of the boys, 5-10 years old. We have some older boys who are like his big brothers. They watch out for him and include him when they play. These kids are such blessings to our family and amazing examples for Elijah to follow.

Toothless Baylor and Elijah....Love their smiles!

Star Wars Birthday....easy choice and you can't beat Publix cake....oh my goodness!

Boys are so much fun and incredibly silly!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY! To one of the three most special guys in my life. Bless you in Jesus Name! Thank you God for his sweetness and sensitivity. Continue to develop a heart for YOU and May He follow You all the days of his life!

January

Well January has come and gone and I wanted to record all of our activities of January, but I have to tell you it has been a rough month of sickness, recovery, survival and trying to keep up with homeschool. I had been sick with something or other since Christmas day....and it finally ending with two bouts of strep thoat...ugg. There were some moments I thought it would be nice to not be homeschooling. I was REALLY sick and I am so glad the boys survived. Kevin had taken back to back trips with the youth and college students and he was comepletely spent and totally exhausted! And then he came home to a sick wife and some needy kids. We all survived but it wasn't pretty. I finally got my Christmas stuff down on the next to last weekend of January. Sheesh!
We are now in in our regular working and schooling routine and it feels good!

Christmas time!

First of all I can't believe how few pictures I took at Christmas. I started getting sick that night and then basically traveled and stayed sick all through January. This is our second year in a row that we have done major traveling and I hope i rememember this for next year! This years theme was all about trains and spy gear. We had tons of Fun celebrating Jesus' birhthday and really trying to develop a heart for Him. It is precious to here the boys talk about baby Jesus!

Soccer season fun.

Yay! WE had a blast coaching Elijah's soccer team this year. We knew he was competitive but wow, I realized that we are going to have to use sports a some more teaching and training. He is still boy personified! We love it, but we are going to have to make sure people and having fun is more important than winning. I have to admit this was a bit hard for me at time as well. I had forgotten about my competitive spirit, thinking my soccer and basketball days were over. Can't wait for next season.
