Advent Calendar

We are enjoying counting down the days until we have our ultimate celebration of Jesus' birthday! On this particular day we made rice crispy choo choo trains and decorated them. They loved it! It was a bit much for me at the time since i was also trying to make a side and a layered cake for a party at the same time! It is funny how you plann on these really memorable moments, just special times with the boys for them to remember.....but it really takes some mental preparation. There are times when i really have to try to not be annoyed by the mess or the fact that they just REALLY enjoy making a mess. It's all about the memory, the moment and the time! Every moment I need to be living out Christ to my boys and I really don't want them remembering how mad i got at a mess they made or my impatience of a project taking too long. Sometimes I get so caught up in the idea of being a "good" mommy that I forget that it is the time with them that is so crucial and whether or not I am representing the ONE whom I live for and with whom I so desperately want my boys to have a relationship with. I must take advantage of every moment and quit worrying about the stuff that just doesn't matter.
